Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Hardware Engineer – Board Design, you will play a critical role in designing and developing next-generation hardware platforms for advanced industrial digital printing systems. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled hardware engineer with strong expertise in board design, high-speed interfaces, and system integration.
In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and validation of complex electrical systems that power high-precision, high-speed printing platforms used across industrial manufacturing domains. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and mechanical engineers to build scalable, reliable, and production-ready hardware solutions.
Job Requirements
Education Qualification:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
3–7 years of relevant experience in hardware design and board development.
Skills: (Technical & Behavioural skills)
- Design and develop electrical schematics and board-level systems for industrial hardware platforms.
- Work with PCB design tools such as PADs, OrCAD, Allegro, Altium, or equivalent.
- Collaborate with external PCB layout vendors to drive board design and implementation.
- Develop and validate hardware interfaces including PCIe, FPGA, DDR4/DDR5, LVDS, and other high-speed serial interfaces.
- Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define hardware/software interfaces and system performance requirements.
- Support system integration, manufacturing testing, and product validation activities.
- Create and maintain design documentation, validation reports, and technical specifications.
- Participate in global collaboration, including working with international teams (e.g., Japan) across time zones.
- Strong understanding of high-speed digital design, signal integrity, and power distribution concepts.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment involving hardware, software, and mechanical systems.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SPICE simulation, signal integrity analysis, and power distribution network (PDN) design.
- Exposure to digital design using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Experience in industrial automation, motion control systems, or digital printing technologies.
- Familiarity with embedded systems (Linux, device drivers, RTOS).
- Scripting and automation experience (Python, TCL, Bash).
- Exposure to high-speed imaging or inkjet printing systems.
- Experience working with global stakeholders, especially Japanese customers or teams.
Desirable but not mandatory:
- Experience in print/imaging domain or industrial hardware products
- Exposure to system-level architecture and end-to-end product lifecycle
- Ability to work in a matrix organization
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $166,000 – $174,000 USD. Compensation is determined based on experience, skills, and geographic location.
