Fiery is seeking a passionate and self-motivated Finance Operations Manager in EMEA to support our worldwide Finance Operations. In this key leadership role, you will be working closely with various stakeholders to solve day-to-day problems, be a liaison with 3rd party providers, drive operational and automation efficiencies, strengthen internal control policies and procedures, as well as drive continued business improvements.     

This role can be based out of either of our offices in Ratingen, Germany or Barcelona, Spain

 

Job Requirements:

 

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance or related field

 

Experience: 6+ years    

 

Skills: (Technical & Behavioural skills)

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field (masters preferred)
  • 6+ years of prior related experience with at least 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role coaching and developing team members
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • Behavioural Skills: communication, stakeholder management, accountability, initiative, strategic orientation, learnability

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute the ‘behind the scenes' work required to ensure smooth financial operations in EMEA region
  • Be a problem solver in the areas of procure-to-pay, billing and revenue-to-receipt processes
  • Serve as the primary regional Finance contact for EMEA, including coordination with global Accounting and Finance teams
  • Supervise financial transactions involving EMEA legal entities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and appropriate controls
  • Manage EMEA vendor relationships, including contract administration and handling internal and external finance-related queries
  • Assist with yearly & interim audit and work closely with external auditors
  • Support daily cash management, bank system administration, and intercompany funding
  • Manage the payroll function for the region
  • Support revenue accounting in accordance with IFRS-15
  • Assist with Value Added Tax (VAT) matters
  • Develop and implement policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Responsible for driving a cohesive cross-functional approach that encourages great customer service, teamwork, process ownership, innovation, accountability, and growth
  • Monitor changes in regional regulatory requirements as they relate to financial operations
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and support special projects
  • Support customs-related finance processes and coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders
