Software Engineer

Role and Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer , you will play a key role in analyzing and resolving software defects, developing new features, and delivering Windows OS/platform components for Fiery products. You will own critical modules and components end-to-end, with a strong focus on performance, scalability, stability, and reliability.

You will apply strong software engineering expertise to solve complex system-level problems involving Windows OS internals and platform architecture. Your responsibilities will include:

• Analysis, design, development, coding, testing, debugging, and maintenance of complex software components.
• Developing and enhancing Windows platform components using C++ and GoLang.
• Working with Windows OS internals, including process, memory, I/O management, and system-level components.
• Designing and developing applications involving multi-threading, concurrency, and system-level programming.
• Debugging complex software issues on Windows 10/11 and identifying root causes.
• Performing code reviews and ensuring high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Working closely with Engineering Managers, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software within defined timelines.
• Supporting platform innovation and continuously improving system performance, reliability, and stability.
• Creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation.
• Operating with minimal supervision while demonstrating strong ownership and accountability.
• Communicating effectively with technical and cross-functional stakeholders in a time-critical environment.

Job Requirements

Education Qualification

• B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 70% or CGPA 7.0.

Experience

• 2–4 years of experience in software development, system programming, or Windows platform development.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong programming proficiency in C++.
• Working knowledge of GoLang.
• Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Strong understanding of pointers, memory management, and object-oriented programming in C++.
• Hands-on experience with Windows debugging and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of Windows 10/11 platforms.
• Understanding of Windows OS internals, including processes, memory management, I/O, and system-level components.
• Experience with Win32 programming.
• Experience developing applications using multi-threading and concurrency.
• Hands-on experience with Visual Studio and/or VS Code.
• Proficiency with Git/version control.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently on complex software modules with minimal supervision.
• Strong code review skills and ability to simplify complex technical problems.
• Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience in Windows performance analysis, profiling, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Windows services and service management.
• Understanding of Windows networking and security concepts.
• Knowledge of PCI devices, firmware, BIOS, and UEFI boot processes.
• Experience in device driver development.
• Experience in printing, imaging, graphics, or related technology domains.
• Exposure to Linux debugging.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, or Ruby on Rails is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced, and technically challenging environments.
