Software Engineer

Role and Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer – Windows Platform / OS Development:
You will play a key role in analyzing and fixing the defects reported, developing new features , and delivering OS/platform components for Fiery products. You will support critical modules/components end-to-end.

You will apply software engineering expertise to solve complex system-level problems involving Windows OS internals and platform architecture. Will be part of analysis, design, code, test, debug, code reviews, and document complex software components with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and reliability. Work closely with Managers, QA, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and high-quality deliverables in time-critical environments.Will be part of platform innovation and support in enhancing the system performance and stability.Operate with minimal supervision, demonstrate strong ownership, and effectively communicate across teams and stakeholders. 

Job Requirements

Education Qualification:

BTech in CS/IT/EC with 70% or CGPA 7

Experience: 2–4 years of experience in system/software development

Skills: (Technical & Behavioural skills)

• Strong programming expertise in C/C++
• Knowledge of Windows 10 / Windows 11 platforms
• Understanding of Windows OS internals (Process, Memory, I/O management)
• Experience in Win32 programming, WMI, and PowerShell scripting
• Expertise in developing applications involving multi-threading and concurrency
• Proven experience in working with minimal supervision on complex modules
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Strong code review skills and ability to simplify complex technical problems
• Ability to create and maintain high-quality technical documentation
• Behavioural Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, stakeholder management, high ownership, accountability, strategic thinking, proactive approach, strong learning agility, and excellent decision-making capabilities in complex environments

Desirable but not mandatory:

• Experience in Windows performance analysis, profiling, and tuning
• Experience in printing or imaging domain
• Understanding of Windows networking stack and security
• Hands-on experience with Windows service architecture and management
• Knowledge of PCI devices, firmware, BIOS, and UEFI boot processes
• Experience in device driver development (added advantage)
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
• Comfortable working in ambiguous and fast-paced environments
• Exposure to web technologies like Angular / Node.js / Python
