Senior SAP S/4HANA FICO Specialist

Role and responsibilities:
As an SAP FICO senior consultant: you will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end Finance and Controlling (FICO) processes across SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects in both ECC and S/4HANA (on‑premise and cloud) environments. Your role includes leading requirement gathering, designing functional solutions, configuring SAP FICO modules, and ensuring seamless integration with related business processes.You will be accountable for conducting detailed analysis, identifying process gaps, and providing expert recommendations to support business transformation. This includes preparing functional specifications, collaborating closely with technical teams, driving unit and integration testing, and supporting cutover and post‑go‑live activities to ensure successful delivery.
Job Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 Years of relevant experience
Skills: (Technical & Behavioral skills)
- Advise business on the FICO processes and work with consultants for implementation of business processes, testing and support.
- Analyse business requirements and provide solutions in SAP FICO core functionalities.
- Train the team in the solution capabilities and finance solutions in SAP S/4 HANA to the users.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams like SAP MM, PLM, WM, SD, PP to ensure seamless integration solution.
- Provide solutions and support to business on S4 HANA related functionalities and work collaboratively with external consultants to implement and deploy and support solutions in FICO areas.
- Support data migration, integration, testing within SAP S/4 HANA and non-SAP integrations.
- Analyse business processes and identify areas of improvement.
- Good understanding of S/4 HANA cloud, Fiori apps, SAP best practices and SAP FICO configurations.
- Strong knowledge of SAP FICO functionalities such as General Ledger, Accounts payables, receivables, asset accounting, cost center accounting, profitability analysis, product costing, material ledger, transfer pricing.
- Must have worked on ECC implementations and at least one SAP S/4 HANA implementation in cloud for SAP FICO- central finance.
- Proficiency in SAP FICO. Strong understanding of SAP FICO concepts and principles
- Knowledge on month end and year end activities.
- Team player, good communication and presentation skills. Should be able to guide and lead external consultants.
- Experience of working on various testing and support tools.
- Certified in SAP S4 HANA FICO is desirable.
- Behavioral Skills: Should have strong verbal and written communication, stakeholder management, accountability, detail & strategic orientation, take initiative, learnability, problem-solving skills and attention to details.
Desirable but not mandatory:
- Knowledge of the printing industry
- Experience with Agile development methodology
- Knowledge of Japanese language will be an add on
