Role and Responsibilities

As a Sales Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering reporting, analytics, data management, and process improvement solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the sales organization. You will work closely with Sales Leadership, Account Managers, Finance, and cross-functional teams to analyze business performance, improve data quality, automate manual processes, and provide actionable insights that drive business results.

Key Responsibilities

1. Reporting & Business Analytics

  • Develop, maintain, and manage reports, dashboards, and analytical tools that provide actionable business insights.
  • Analyze sales performance, partner trends, pricing, and key business metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Support Sales Directors and Account Managers with reporting, business analysis, and recommendations.
  • Assist with sales commission reporting and other ad-hoc analytical requests.

2. Data Management & Quality

  • Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, cleansing, and reconciliation across multiple data sources.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and reporting issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting and business systems.
  • Maintain documentation of reporting logic, business rules, and data definitions.

3. Automation & Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate reporting, data preparation, and business processes.
  • Develop automated reporting solutions and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, Power Query, and related tools.
  • Streamline workflows to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and reporting accuracy.
  • Partner with stakeholders to recommend and implement process improvements.

4. Sales Operations Support

  • Support pricing processes, reporting, and related sales operations activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve business processes and operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, controls, and data governance standards.

Job Requirements

Education Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Analysis, Revenue Operations, or a similar analytical role.

Skills (Technical & Behavioural Skills)

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of data quality, reporting best practices, and process automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large, complex, and imperfect datasets with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Experience with data extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, complex formulas, and automation.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence and reporting tools.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, and analytical tools for sales and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, including reporting, dashboard creation, and data management, is good to have.

Behavioural Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication, stakeholder management, attention to detail, organizational skills, ownership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced sales environment.

Desirable but not Mandatory

  • Experience working with Salesforce reporting, dashboards, and data management.
  • Experience with sales commission reporting and pricing processes.
  • Exposure to Revenue Operations or commercial analytics.
  • Experience automating manual reporting and data preparation processes.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across Sales, Finance, and Operations.
